MEMBERSHIP

Classes of Membership

1. Life
A Fellow or Associate member in good standing member and upon the payment of RM 1,000/- shall upon the approval of the Council be elected as a Life Member.

2. Honorary
Honorary Membership shall be awarded to an individual who is in the opinion of the Council deemed suitable for such honor.

3. Fellow
Fellowship shall be awarded to an Associate member of at least five or more years standing in the Institute and in the opinion of the Council is deemed fit and proper to be a Fellow.

4. Associate
This class of membership is available for application by any person aged 18 and above and meeting the admission criteria of having passed the qualifying examinations of the Institute or obtained one of the prescribed qualifications and has 3 or more years of relevant accountancy experience.

5. Graduate
Registered Students of the Institute who has passed the Institute's qualifying examination or who is exempted from the qualifying examination but has not obtained the relevant accountancy experience.

6. Registered Student
A person having the appropriate academic qualifications and is registered with the Institute with the intention of sitting for the qualifying examinations.
